Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This crawl space in Decatur, Georgia, shows deteriorating insulation beneath the home’s floor, exposed floor joists, scattered debris and dark staining along the crawl space floor. In Esom Hill, a homeowner faced significant issues with mold, musty odors, and sagging floors due to moisture in their crawl space. The before photo captures these challenges, driven by excess humidity and mold growth, affecting the home's upper levels. This crawl space had high levels of humidity and moisture which were causing mold and damage to the wooden support beams. This was also making the floor weak and sag in some places. To alleviate these issues, Ken and Jonah had to remove all the debris and seal the crawl space vents first. Then they installed the CleanSpace drainage matting and liner to create a vapor barrier. CleanSpace is made with antimicrobial additives to prevent the growth of mold. Because of the moisture damage to the wood, they also added SmartJacks to support the foundation and prevent sagging. After going through a complete transformation, the crawl space looks amazing and will help protect this home!
