Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Our customer in Athens, GA who had a sagging floors throughout their home, soft spots in the floors, and sheet rock cracks in their walls. All classic signs of an unstable crawl space. They called Atlanta Basement Systems and we visited the home and check it out. Upon inspection we noticed there were issues with the floor joists, causing the sagging symptoms the customer noticed upstairs. Using our patented SmartJack® Crawl Space Stabilizer, our Foreman Aaron and crew were able to lift and stabilize the crawl space, addressing and resolving all the concerns with their crawl space. Now the homeowner can live in their home with solid floors and home on stable ground. 

In Eastanollee, our team at Atlanta Basement Systems addressed a mold issue in a homeowner’s crawl space. In the before photo, notice how dampness led to mold development, affecting the home’s air quality and structural integrity. We installed the CleanSpace® encapsulation to prevent moisture and mold, outperforming typical materials you see elsewhere. Shortly after moving into this home, the homeowners noticed some issues with their crawl space. They wanted to reduce the damage and prevent future problems from arising so they scheduled a free inspection to see what could be done. After Trey,, one of our System Design Specialists, performed his inspection, he found that excessive moisture in the crawl space was damaging the wooden supports, causing the floor to dip in some areas.

To fix this, we had to first encapsulate the crawl space so that moisture and humidity could no longer get in and damage the foundation. This meant sealing off the vents, installing the CleanSpace encapsulation system, and installing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Then the SmartJack support system was installed to stabilize the beams.

Now this crawl space and home are safer, protecting this family and their investment in their home.

This customer was experience soft spots in the floors of the home, and this is a clear sign that there foundation has begun to settle. To fix this issue, and give this customer peace of mind in their home, Jaime and his crew installed SmartJacks into the crawl space. The SmartJacks are installed and tightened in place to immediately lift and stabilize the foundation. This provides not only the stabilization in the home, but it allows for peace of mind to be returned for the homeowner.

This homeowner had recently moved in to his home and he was working on some renovations. On his list of things to do was to get new floors installed. While he was getting a quote for the new floors, the floor salesman pointed out the humidity and moisture in the crawl space. Wanting to protect his new home, the owner gave us a call. After meeting with one our System Design Specialists, a plan was created to keep this crawl space dry and clean. In order to encapsulate the space, Josh and his crew cleaned out any debris and prepped for installation. They sealed off any crawl space vents from the inside, to keep outside air out. Once they were finished with sealing off the crawl space, they added CleanSpace to the floors and walls and they wrapped the bottom of the piers as well. The CleanSpace creates an anti-microbial moisture barrier that prevents water from getting into the air in the crawl space.
