Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

This homeowner reached out to us after discovering that their insulation was falling in their crawl space. They also noticed musty, moldy smells upstairs in their home so they were worried about moisture in their crawl space. One of our System Design Specialists, Foster, went out to the home for a free inspection and he found mold growing in the unenclosed crawl space. After assessing the issues, Foster talked them through how Atlanta Basement Systems could fix their crawl space problems. After creating a customized plan, the homeowner scheduled a time for one our production teams to come out and fix their crawl space.

Matt and his crew were able to transform the space by doing mold remediation with soda blasting and then fully encapsulating the crawl space by sealing the vents, installing an EverLast door, and using the CleanSpace encapsulation system. To finish it off, a SaniDry Sedona was installed to keep relative humidity low and prevent mold. 

In their Meansville, Georgia property, the homeowner faced a damp and musty crawl space condition that risked mold growth. Atlanta Basement Systems addressed this issue by encapsulating the space using our CleanSpace® system, visible in the after photo. We fortified it with SilverGlo™ insulation and regulated humidity with the SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier. This comprehensive solution not only eliminated the moisture issue but also transformed the crawl space into a dry, healthier environment. The crawl space encapsulation process involves covering the floor and walls with a thick, tear-resistant polyethylene liner (CleanSpace Vapor Barrier) that essentially seals the crawl space from outside moisture.

This crawl space was dealing with a major flooding of water, and the homeowner knew that something needed to be done immediately. In the before picture, you can see just how much water had entered the crawl space and why this would be a concerning sight for a homeowner. Pictured in the after photo, is the TripleSafe sump pump. It is the top of the line sump pump, and will ensure that this crawl space will never experience a flood like this again, and will stay dry all of the time.

In this home, we tackled the crawl space that was experiencing excess moisture build up in the space, leading to soft spots in the floors of the home. The moisture had seeped into the crawl space, threatening the structural integrity of the home, so to fix this we installed CleanSpace into the crawl space. This provides a barrier between the outside of the home and the interior, keeping the moisture out of the space. SmartJacks were installed to stabilize the floors, getting rid of the soft spots, and leaving the crawl space clean, and usable space. This customer was pleased with the results and we were glad to restore peace of mind to the homeowner.
