In the before photo, you can see the concrete slab and walkway outside this Cumming, Georgia home had sunken significantly, posing an unattractive and hazardous issue for the homeowner. This common problem arose due to shifting soil and poor drainage. This homeowner reached out because they were unhappy with the current status of their basement. They reached out to Atlanta Basement Systems to get a free estimate on getting the basement fixed up. One of our System Design Inspectors went out to the house and walked the homeowner through the current problems and potential solutions. The two biggest issues were that water was getting into the basement and this was causing issues with the foundation.

In order to fix this, one of our crews installed multiple PowerBraces to stabilize the foundation walls. These steel beams stop further damage and also straighten out the walls again. Additionally, the crew waterproofed the basement by installing the  WaterGuard drainage system along with the CleanSpace Wall System. Now the basement is protected from water intrusion and the walls are stabilized and strong!

In Norcross, Georgia, the homeowner contacted us due to signs of a bowing wall, a common issue indicating potential foundation problems. Our solution involved custom-fitting zinc-plated steel beams that securely stabilized the wall without invasive digging. This specific design is capable of being tightened over time, preventing any further inward wall movement and safeguarding the homeowner’s property permanently.

Not only had this driveway become unlevel, but there was a spot underneath where concrete had deteriorated, and this was something the homeowner had wanted to fix. To fix this, Caleb and his crew injected PolyLevel into the concrete, a foam that expands once injected and lifts and levels the concrete. It is water and wash out proof, and will not deteriorate during the natural contraction and expansion of the concrete. This customer was left pleased with the results, and they knew there concrete was not going to continue to ruin.
