Galvanized steel columns were cut to required lengths and placed on 12-inch steel bases to guarantee substantial support. These were secured tightly using adjustable top brackets to the existing girders, facilitating the necessary strength and stability. The heavy-duty threaded rods that accompanied the galvanized columns allowed for precise adjustments, which effectively lifted the flooring back toward its original elevation. Once the SmartJack system was in place, the homeowner immediately noticed reduced floor bounce and restored level flooring.
